Certification for export of defective parts

Home – Certification for export of defective parts

JIT Global provides Chartered Engineer certification for export/re-export of defective parts and equipment that require repair, replacement, testing or further technical examination by the overseas supplier or manufacturer. The certification helps technically establish the identity, condition and defect of the equipment being sent abroad.

Technical Inspection & Defect Verification

Our Chartered Engineer examines the defective part or equipment and reviews its technical details to establish why it is being returned to the supplier or manufacturer.

The assessment may include:

  • Identification, make, model and serial number
  • Technical specifications and quantity
  • Nature of defect or damage
  • Present condition of the equipment
  • Reason for repair / replacement
  • Original import and purchase documents

Certification for Repair, Replacement & Re-Import

Where applicable, defective or damaged goods/parts may be exported for repair and subsequently re-imported in accordance with the relevant DGFT and Customs provisions.

JIT Global can assist with certification confirming that the identified parts/equipment are defective or unfit for use and are being returned to the overseas supplier/OEM for repair or replacement.

Supporting documents may include:

  • Bill of Entry / import documents
