The inspection can cover quantity, specifications, condition, packing, identification and other agreed requirements, helping importers reduce discrepancies and ensure the shipment matches the relevant purchase or technical specifications.
Inspection Before Shipment

Inspection Report & Certification
The scope of inspection depends on the product, buyer’s requirements and applicable regulations. For specific regulated imports, such as certain scrap consignments, DGFT prescribes a Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate (PSIC) issued by a recognized Pre-Shipment Inspection Agency (PSIA).
